The Backorder Button extension is the perfect solution for you who want to show your customers which of your products are on backorder.
This extension will replace the Add to Cart buttons with Backorder buttons for all of your products which are on backorder.
This extension also works in product lists, such as product search results or category pages.
It will even add a column to the product table displayed on the shopping cart page, showing the availability status of each product currently in the shopping cart.
This extension works for every product type, and it will display which specific options are on backorder for grouped, configurable and bundle products.
It will also replace the Stock Availability Status label (displayed on the product detail pages) to state that the product is on backorder rather than in stock.
How does this extension work with grouped products?
On the product detail page, an extra column is added to the product table, showing the stock availability of each simple product included in the grouped product.
If every simple product in the grouped product is on backorder, then the Add to Cart button and the Stock Availability Status will also change to state that the entire product is on backorder (please note that this only applies for the product detail page).
How does this extension work with configurable products?
The Add to Cart button and Stock Availability Status label will change on-the-fly as your customers changes the values of the attributes for the configurable product.
How does this extension work with bundle products?
On the product detail page, a label will be added next to each option which is on backorder.
If every simple product included in the bundle product is on backorder, then the Add to Cart button and the Stock Availability Status will also change to state that the entire product is on backorder (please note that this only applies for the product detail page).
